Pre-Calculus

Pre-calculus completes the formal study of the functions begun in College Algebra. Students focus on modeling, problem solving, data analysis, trigonometric and circular functions and their inverses, polar coordinates, complex numbers, conics, and quadratic relations. Additional topics covered include matrix applications, using polar coordinates, parametric equations, and vectors. Prerequisite: ACT math score of 24 (minimum) or MTH 140 or higher with a C or higher.
